Reducing marine plastic litter from ships - e-learning course launched
A new e-learning course from IMO aims to improve awareness and enhance global implementation of the garbage regulations, including addressing marine plastic litter from ships, is contained in the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL) Annex V. The course is freely available on the IMO e-Learning platform: https://lms.imo.org/moodle310/.
Improving casualty reporting and investigation – trainers trained
A regional train-the-trainer course in Limassol, Cyprus (26-30 May) has provided participants from eight countries with new skills for marine casualty investigation.
